The holiday break is fast approaching and the lab has been enjoying the fun things that come with the season. Kelly and Judit headed to the Edmonton Valley Zoo to enjoy their light and ice display. It might be a small zoo but it was still fun!
The lab also attended the Department Christmas Party. It was a great chance to socialize with our co-workers and just relax for an afternoon. Azra, who helped to organize and MC the party, is being charged with fixing the door prizes since Kelly was the first winner!
The lab also took part in the annual tradition of decorating the lab door for Christmas. Sadly we did not win “best door” we will just have to try harder next year.
Ben and Kelly joined a few other labs for our annual Tech Appreciation Lunch. It was a great event with many stories and laughs shared. Thank you Ben for buying!
The final event before we shut down for the holidays will be total lab clean up followed by lunch! We know Biplab is very sad to be missing our lab clean up because we are sure lab clean up is way more fun than hanging out with family. But we hope he manages to enjoy his wedding and honeymoon despite all he is missing here in Canada.
